First anniversary gift ideas
So... I'm not regularly on this board and apologize for the random posting. But, I thought you'd be the perfect people to ask.
Any ideas for a paper gift? Our first anniversary is in a few weeks and I'm stumped. I'm hoping that someone else here is in the same boat and has given it a bit more thought than I have.
A little bit about us -- we're in our late 20s/early 30s, are outdoor-sy, live in the PNW and are TTC.
TIA!

Re: First anniversary gift ideas
I didn't know you were supposed to do something with paper for your first wedding anniversary, but my suggestion would be a book--even if your husband doesn't read, what about a book on the pacific northwest or adventures you could go on up there? Or a paper map (I know, hard to fathom with GPS these days) marked out with a route on it for a weekend getaway? Or you could do a scavenger hunt with clues on paper to something more significant?
Again, I am the wrong person to give advice. Our gift is going to Florida for the week and we will be eating out at a nice dinner...

We are probably not following tradition, I'm not even sure if Greg would know that was what he was suppose to do.
We might try and go away for the weekend. What I really want to do is go to Berns (fancy, famous steakhouse in our town) for dinner.
We are more doing things with maybe a little gift then going all out on gifts.
I love this idea. Can you give more details on this book? I haven't thought about a gift yet.
We are going out of town for a business conference the weekend of our anniversary, but at least we'll be together!

Dats - They actually updated the book, so it looks like it includes EVERY anniversary for 1-50. I've got the older edition. I do know at 1, 10, 25 and 50 (approx) they have spots for you to add a picture of the two of you.
Here's the link: Uncommon Goods This is also my favorite site for gifts!
FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!
We're closing on our house right before our 1 year anniversary (so obviously we'll be pretty much broke- ha!). I'd say the deed to a house is a pretty decent paper gift to each other.
I also wrote him a letter the night of our wedding that I'm going to give him.
Other ideas: Scrapbook, tickets of any kind, pretty much anything can be made into a gift certificate, boudoir photos. You could get a book that has something to do with a different gift (like a book about traveling to Mexico with -you guessed it- a trip to Mexico, or a book about grilling with a grill set or something)
