Thanks for your suggestion on Miracle Method. I was looking into this a bit based on your suggestion. How long ago did you have it done? Is it easy to clean and maintain? Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA!
Re: **Kross
We had it done 2-3 years ago just to change colors. We sold the house about 8 months ago, but up to that point it looked exactly as if we had a new tub and sink and didnt show any signs of wear, peeling etc. You cant use any kind of abrasive cleansers like a scrubbing bubbles or comet and you cant use bleach, but otherwise you clean it and use it just like your regular tub. Theres a 5 year warranty, so if anything happens--scratches, chips, peels etc they will come back and fix it for free. It was just under $500 to do our tub and sink but it would be more expensive if you have more prep work--our tub was the original factory finish and in good condition so there were few knicks and scratches to fill before hand and no peeling finishes or any damages to deal with. Ive heard of people using it for tile walls too with great results and I THINK you can have it done on floors too but Im not positive.
For us it was a great fix because the quotes we were getting just to remove the cast iron tub were ridiculous and we also didnt want to discard a perfectly good tub because the color threw off our remodel.
