Hi Ladies, I wanted to introduce myself. I am Jenn, and my husband and I are moving to DFW at the end of the month. I have lurked on this board for a few weeks, but was nervous to post, but I'm finally giving it a go!
I am from So Cal and have lived here my whole life. My H is from Grapevine, and that is likely where we will be living as his job is also there. Can anyone recommend a nice apartment complex in or near Grapevine?

I'm actually going out there in 2 weeks for about 10 days without him, any suggestions of things to do while I am there? I don't want to be stuck with my IL's and would love to get out.

Lesalyric - I think it's a popular move because it's just so dang expensive here. Out there we can rent an apartment twice the size of our current one, and much newer and nicer for less than we pay here. Plus the people are so much nicer!

DH and I just moved here from LA this week! We are still looking for a place to live, but LOVE Grapevine. Would love to live there, but haven't found anything that fits the bill....

We moved from Hermosa Beach, a nice beach town in the South Bay. But I'm originally from Minneapolis (hence, the MNKate) - but we loved our time in CA!!
Yep, we did the drive. It really wasn't too shabby. Although DH and I are big road-trippers, so it was fun for us. We just had our car (movers are bringing everything else) so it made for a nice trip. Took us about 2.5 days to do.

PS We have a friend who lives in the apts in downtown Grapevine - 925main or something like that. They're pretty nice!!
