Murphy seems to be feeling better. I tried changing his food, and he's gobbling it up. He's put a little bit of meat back on, but not much. My dad also thinks he wasn't eating much because he was depressed. J and I went away for the 4th, and we brought all 3 cats to stay at my parents' house.. and only Murphy and Pepper came back. Peggy Sue refuses to leave, and won't even come out to see us when we visit! She;s happy there with my dad home all day, and he's happy to have a cat again. So the boys are finally readjusted.
We go back to the vet next week to get his Rx for the insulin and needles, and to teach me how to administer the shots. He's still drinking like a horse, but at least he's drinking! You should hear him scream when we open a gallon of spring water. He doesn't want tap. Oh no. He INSISTS on the spring water. Weirdo.
Very good news. I'm glad he's doing better! The spring water thing is pretty funny. I suspect our dog prefers bottled h2o too, but my H thought I was making it up. Hmm, looks like animals do notice!
Anyway, very glad to hear he's eating and drinking again. Hope everything goes well with the vet next week!
