Morning girls TGIF! How is everyone? Plans for today and this weekend?
QOTD: If you could have one person move to your town who would you pick and why?
Re: Morning
Yay for Friday!!! Work today, although my office is nearly a ghost town -- everyone is on holiday. I'm having dinner with a friend tonight who I haven't seen in ages so that will be nice. This weekend will be low-key; I would like to read, go to the gym and relax.
FIL comes in less than two weeks I know things will be crazy and expensive while he is here... we need to save our pennies!! :-)
QOTD: Can I say my parents as a unit. They always come as a pair. I miss my mom and enjoy spending time with her. If I can't have them as a unit, then my BFF.
Morning! I'm exhausted today. W woke up at 6 am and was ready for the day. I did not want to get up! We're going to dinner tonight and then a BBQ at our friends house tomorrow.
QOTD: Just one? That's a tough question. I can't pick just one!
Morning ladies! It's a lovely sunny day and I'm packing for a day trip with W and his friends (and mums and sibs) to a local farm centre/zoo. Should be a good day, but we're getting a lift (or 2 separate ones really) and it's a bit awkward. I have a stroller, picnic lunch, diaper bag, 2 car seats and 2 littles. W and some stuff will go in a friend's car, and M and I and the rest will go with another friend. Ugh. Anywy, W is excited and it will be fun!
QOTD: Anyone, in an ideal world, where jobs and immigration wouldn't be an issue? My sister. The kids love playing together, I miss her tons, and I think our town would be a richer place with her here.
Afternoon! We're going out for drinks with H's boss tonight and tomorrow we're finally having high speed internet installed. Hopefully Nesting will be much easier after that.
QOTD: I choose Onesly because I know that we could have a good time over a bottle of wine.
ETA: I didn't realize we weren't talking about people from this board. Oh well, I stick with Onesly.
Hello!
I am also exhausted. Thank god I'm off today. I woke up today at 5:30 (2 hours earlier than I have to for work) and couldn't get back to work. I did manage to meet my husband for lunch and just got up from a 2 hour nap so things are a little better now...No real plans for the weekend, which is fine by me as we were away last weekend and it was busy.
QOTD: One person! That is too hard. I'd have to say my best friend...although I really wish I could move my entire family and husband's entire family all over here together (most of them have still never met).
Morning! We have BIL's wedding tomorrow. I'm not really looking forward to it because I am feeling like poo all the time these days...plus it's an outdoor wedding in the woods, and it's supposed to rain and be cold. Their back-up rain plan is to use a flimsy tent that doesn't have sides.
QOTD: I pick my sister. She was here for three weeks in June and it was so much fun, I didn't want her to leave.
Morning! I have a super fun weekend planned. It's Whisky Fringe tomorrow so tons of my friends are in town for it. We have hangover food in our house in preparation for Sunday :-)
QODT: My dad. I feel super guilty all the time that he's on his own and it would really help me settle in here.

Morning! So happy it's Friday! I'm looking forward to chilling with H tonight and we're going out with a bunch of my fun co-workers tomorrow night for 70s themed "disco bowling", which I hope is as fun it sounds.
QOTD: I'd have to pick our very good friends who moved back to the UK a couple of years ago, they have definitely left a hole in our social life :-(
Good morning! It was a nice day. I got my new mixer -- a Sunbeam Mixmaster -- on sale!!!! It's exactly the mixer I wanted and I am so glad I waited to get it.
And I tested it out already, whipping the egg white for tonight's spoonbread. No real plans for the weekend, just some menu planning and maybe grocery shopping. And I want to see if I can get into my book that has been staring at me from the coffee table for over a week now.
QOTD: Only one is hard -- I'd like my parents as a unit, or my BFF, but she won't come without her husband and 4-month old daughter. So I'd have to pick my younger brother.

Now Nesting from Chicago, IL My nail blog:
Good morning!
No major plans for today. I rode my bike trainer this AM, now getting ready to start work for the day. H and I might go out for dinner night, I guess that will be my big excitement for the day.
I have to leave for China early Sunday morning, so we will probably just chill out and maybe go grocery shopping tomorrow. No big plans.
QOTD: If I could have one person move here, it would be my MOH. She finally moved to my town in Indiana about a year ago (not for me, just happened to be a good opportunity for her) and of course I up and leave. Figures.

Morning! I can't wait for the weekend to start, we have lots of semi-exciting things planned (don't want to oversell)!
QOTD: I wouldn't do that to anyone I know. Perhaps an enemy of mine - so long as she had to move here and then I would never have to see/talk to her.
Morning INs! One of my BFs just moved over here and has a car, so she's taking me on a trip to IKEA tomorrow. Woohoo! Then on Sunday, FIL gets back from Africa and we'll get to have dinner with him before he leaves for the States again on Monday.
The other weekend goal is to help DH relax. He has been extremely stressed at work and isn't sleeping well. The only thing that seems to take his mind off of it is White Collar, and we've run out of episodes.
QOTD: Wow, that's a tough one. I suppose I'd say my sister, but TBH, I think I've kind of admitted to myself that I really want to be closer to my family. I'm just not sure how to make that happen while DH and I are still pursuing our career goals. Sigh.
Fridays are like my Sundays, so my weekend is winding down and tomorrow will be the start of a new week. I'm just hoping this nagging nausea goes away before the week starts. DH left for a two week business trip this morning so it's just me and the kids.
QOTD: I don't know if I could pick a single person because everyone I know comes with a family or at least a significant other, but I'd probably pick DH's best friend and his wife. We lived less than a mile from them before we moved here and being able to get together for dinner and just hang out is something I miss a lot.
Morning ladies. TGIF. I've been so tired this week and just looking forward to relaxing tonight and sleeping in tomorrow. It's also our anniversary this weekend (2 years!). To celebrate, we've made reservations tomorrow for lunch at the Fat Duck and I'm so excited for it! We'll also do breakfast, massages, and a nice dinner on Sunday.
QOTD: I'd say my best friend, but unless her husband and kids can come too it wouldn't really work. I miss her and can't wait to see her in December.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
I'm supposed to go to the open-air opera on an island in the fjord tonight! And it's raining! And the rain is supposed to get worse, culminating in a total downpour!
And I have a million very boring project management things to do at work today, even though I'm in no way a PM. And I'm ridiculously sleepy.
Yeah, it's one of those days. I need to get off the Nest.
QOTD: I will tear my best friend away from her family (including my godson) so she can come and live with me! Mwa ha ha!
No, I'm not that evil. I'll be incredibly short-sighted and say "a micro-celebrity that I'm rather fond of and who occasionally talks of moving here?" Actually, no.
The guy I've been seeing in Houston. Final answer.
happy Friday! I am trying to get the apt. clean and then pack my stuff because we are spending the weekend with H's family for his 25th bday
QOTD: hmmm... part of me would say my dad because I know he is lonely since his divorce, but the other part of me would say one of my best friends. Are we hypothetically assuming that whomever we pick would actually enjoy living where we are? I have two BFFs and I bet one would love it here but the other would hate it (I am also assuming their husbands would go with them since they come as a unit)
Morning!
Dog's anaesthetic has worn off now and he's looking more lively - still don't know what's wrong with him until we get results back and he's on heavy medication until then. I know he's just a dog but as I don't have kids, he means the world to me.
In brighter news, DH joined a rock band as their bass guitar player. I'm pretty thrilled about that - he's very good and I love the stuff that the band does (heavy rock/pop mash ups - so hilarious).
QOTD: Stephen Fry. I'd go around to his house and just listen to all the smart stuff he had to say.
Morning all, and happy Friday (finally)! I feel like this week has taken forever to end! Nothing much going on today, except work...but I get to go out to lunch with DH, so that's nice!
QOTD: Publius - I don't "think" we'd have a good, time, I KNOW we'd have a good time. I pick her. And I also pick my BFF...she'd rock it out with her skinny margaritas!
TGIF! Good morning ladies. This weekends plan hopefully include delivering this baby already! Other than that, my Mom and Dad arrive tomorrow and I am SOOOO excited to see them.
QOTD: My bff. I miss her terribly. I have a couple girlfriends here, but nothing like the friendship I have with her. I really miss her and wish her and her hubby lived closer.
Hello! My DH is out of town today, visiting his boss and won't be home until late ;-( I'm spoiled because he works from home most days! I have some errands to run, so I'll do that when the baby wakes up from her nap.
As far as this weekend, we don't really have any plans. I made an appointment at the Apple store for tomorrow... the baby sucked on my power cord and it barely works (took 36 hours to charge my computer) and also one of the keys on my computer has fallen off. So, I'm going to see if they can help me. Sunday we're going to try a church in our neighborhood and then there is a festival nearby we'll go to.
QOTD: If it was just one person, I would probably pick my mom. She would be a good babysitter and is always very encouraging about the baby. She loves helping around the house too... dishes, laundry, etc. Or, I would pick my college roommate who is a lot of fun. We have good conversations, love going to museums and exploring the city and eating good food. If I could pick a family, either my BIL and his fiancee or our couple friend (and their two kids) we were close with before we left. I love seeing them when we go back to the States. We're very similar and enjoy talking about the kids, life, husbands, and everything else. Ah... I miss everyone now.
I was going to ask about this if you hadn't updated. I'm glad he's feeling a bit better and I completely understand the worry! Again, I hope it's nothing serious and that it can get figured out quickly.
Last night I went out with some friends of a friend who were here as exchange students just for the summer. It was different to be around people who are at such different places in life than me, but quite great fun too. I needed an evening out full of girl talk and a glass of wine. Then I slept about 10 hours and now I'm here on the interwebs again.
QOTD: Hmmm. There are so many people I'd like to bring! I guess I would go with my dad. I don't get the chance to talk to him as much as my mom on skype but when we're together we have such a great time. I'll bring my mom along too if possible.
Don't be silly! There's no such thing as just a pet! I hope he gets back to his old self fast.
And I love Stephen Fry! He's on my celebrities I'd love to have a pint with list!
Awww Jetur, I was wondering the same thing. What is the plan? When do you get to leave Turk. and what's up next? I know you've told us before but I cannot remember to save my life. Sorry girl!
Hey ladies. Happy Friday to you all! Sorry that I haven't been keeping up with the daily thread lately, next week is my last week at work and I have been swamped with preparing to train the new person.
Tonight I have a friend coming over to hang out for a bit. Her boyfriend is on vacation in Mallorca and we're just going to have some wine and play monopoly with H and his brother.
Sunday we're going to a market to sell a bunch of Chlo?'s clothes that she's outgrown. I was emotional going through all of her stuff, haha. Hopefully we have good weather!
QOTD: My mom. Hands down. She's my best friend and I really miss her. Otherwise, it'd be between a few very good friends of mine.
Hola! I'm extremely bored. Today is my third day in a row on bed rest. I'm being monitored for possibly having pre-eclampsia. Luckily my blood pressure hasn't been high, they are just concerned about some swelling and found protein in my urine. Tomorrow I have another appointment to see what they say. We haven't made any weekend plans till we know what I am allowed to do. In good news, I'm exactly one month away from my due date!
QOTD: My mom.
Afternoon! I went to work while a friend watched BabyD. At least it was our short day. Now I'm home chilling while the little guy naps. Then just hang out and play with him.
QOTD: My BFF! Would love to live in the same town.
