I need to stop listening to the country station at work...
This is the 2nd time i've been teary eyed today!!! Damn that "If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away" song!
And it's only the part where he talks about his dog and going hunting with him again - the rest of the song i'm good with.
lol
Re: I need to stop listening to the country station at work...
I have to skip that on Pandora for exactly that reason.

there's a tim mcgraw song that when it comes on i have to change the channel. can't remember the title right now, but tear-jerker!!
ETA: it's "If you're reading this". Gah.
what about "when little boys become Dads?" omg I love it and I have a vision of doing a slideshow of DD with DH to that song (for her sweet 16 or wedding or something)
There are a number of country songs that I have to change the channel for - especially around the holidays like Christmas Shoes by Alabama. Christmas Carol by Skip Ewing.
There are a ton of child abuse songs that leave me bawling: The Littel Girl by John Michael Montgomery; Concrete Angel by Martina McBride; Alissa Lies by John Michael Carol.
And that Carrie Underwood song Temporary Home.
His "Live Like You Were Dying" always gets me. FIL was diagnosed with cancer right around the time I heard that one the first time and now I can't stop thinking about how that could be H. :snuffles:

Carrie Underwood "Independence Day" also belongs in this category.

Carrie Underwood seems to be all about the tear-jerkers...what about "Just a Dream"? That one always makes me cry...
BTW, do you listen to WMZQ? I love that station!
Yep. And I agree, half of Carrie Underwood's songs are boot stompers and the other half are tear jerkers.

This thread rocks!
Baby by Blake Shelton, I hadn't heard it in years, and it came on the radio as I was driving into DC awhile back, couldn't believe it when the tears started falling like I had never heard it before!
"They say with time it gets better. Not true. With time you only get used to it."
I have this as one of my ringtones!
Carrie remade Independence Day? Its a Martina song. I actually saw Martina in concert last weekend. AH-MAZ-ing. My ears were still ringing 24 hours later being 8 rows from the stage.
