get married, become a bridesmaid!
So all I needed to become a bridesmaid was to marry DH. His brother is getting married in October (they got engaged in May) and now his youngest sister announced her engagement and plans to get married next spring or summer. We all seem to like our short engagements!
I am heading over to my SILs for our first bridesmaid meeting to plan the bridal shower. This should be fun!
Anyone else in any upcoming weddings?

I'm in a wedding this coming April. It's one of my bff's since Jr.High. She was my MOH. Unfortunately, I am not sure how much pre-wedding stuff I'll be able to attend, because everything is in CA. I am hoping that it will be semi-convenient and I won't have to take more than a day off of work. Thankfully the wedding is during our spring break and really couldn't come at a more convenient time for being during the school year. Pure coincidence!
I am hoping that this won't become a future Monday vent topic. The bride and groom have a very limited budget and all I've heard so far is a lot of complaining about how expensive everything is. I've tried to do some internet and word of mouth research for them, but most the vendors have been out of their price range. They also chose to put off planning for the first 7 months that they were engaged. Yikes!

Everyone welcome.
I was in my best friend's wedding 3 weeks before ours.
DH and I are both in a wedding on Dec 2, 2011 for our best friends who live in Northern NJ. So excited! It has been so fun to be involved in all the planning.
I'm not in any other weddings (at least not as of yet), but we have a lot of weddings coming up and DH is in quite a few of them... we have 2 in Oct '11- one for our college best friend in NJ, one for DH's cousin. The first weddings we'll attend as a married couple! Then our friends' this December. A high school best friend on St. Patty's Day '12 (DH is in it). DH's frat brother in August '12... it's in Redondo Beach, CA and he's supposed to be in it... I'm probably not going and he is on the fence about the travel for various reasons. My high school & beyond best friend in September '12 at our beach 3 hrs from where we live. And then DH's best man just got engaged last weekend and they will probably be fall '12 and I am positive he will be in that one as well... We have a lot of friends who have been together a while now so I'm sure throughout the rest of '11 there will be plenty of engagements and lots of weddings in '12.
