My sister-in-law's cousin's 18 month old son was eating a pretzel in his high chair and choked. His mother, who is a nurse, performed CPR and was unable to revive him. He was placed on a ventilator and was unresponsive. He eventually had to be taken off the ventilator and they are discussing organ donations.
I cannot even even imagine what they are going through. I hardly ever post on the board, but thought this story had to be told. My son is a year old and this was on my mind the entire time I fed him tonight. So tragic.
Re: tragic
omg how absolutely devastating, I cannot begin to imagine the pain, I'm so so sorry

WOW.
That is horrific, and my heart goes out to the mother! I'd never be able to forgive myself, even if it wasn't my fault and I did all I could to save him. So, so, so sad...
