These weathermen crack me up
Yesterday he was all, We're going to have record temps of about 99 but there is no heat advisory because the humidity will be low. It should be comfortable.
My thought at the time: when is 99 comfortable in ANY situation?
Current conditions: Heat index of *106* and a heat advisory. I am going to melt from my car to the entrance to work. Oh god, it's probably like 200 degrees IN my car right now.
Yes, I'm whining. I miss NY. It's 78 there right now.

Re: These weathermen crack me up
I miss US weather reports. Here I get highs and lows for the capital cities and generic terms like this: "Tomorrow, sunny and fine in Melbourne with top of 18; Windy with showers in Canberra, top of 11"
Fine? What the heck is fine???
I miss the detailed weather reports on US news. I don't think the Australian weathermen have ever heard of heat indices or wind chill factors. And I have yet to see a report of fronts moving though, or weather systems coming off the oceans.

we had a heat wave a couple weeks ago with temps around 100, but they've calmed down a bit lately.
It's been about 85-ish the last week or so, but the humidity is tough!
