Containing razor shavings (men's)

Does anyone have any ideas on how store a men's electric razor so that the little tiny hair pieces are not all over the vanity and the cabinet we store it in? I'm working on training how to rinse down the sink as well.

Re: Containing razor shavings (men's)

  • We have a zipper make up bag, a freebie from Clinique, I think?  It's good because it holds the charger, electric razor, and wet razor while still fitting on a shelf.  And ask him where he starts wiping from--we were married over a year before I realized he was wiping the flat part of the sink from the front of the basin, back towards the faucet and handles.  Let him know it's easier to pull the little hairs from the handles area around to the front and just wipe it clean, rather then having to work your tissue around the hardware trying to get the hairs.  That idea seemed lost on my DH...
  • We do the same thing with the quasi-makeup bag (mine might actually be from Este Lauder).  As for the sink, my husband had the brilliant idea of laying a piece of cling-wrap over the bowl, so that there's very little for him to wipe up at the end (he has a full beard that he trims- not sure how well it would work for the straight-razor set).  It is not the most environmentally concious solution (says the hippie of the house) but I'm willing to deal with that part if it means not having to deal with a) clogged pipes or b) whiskers EVERYWHERE.
