Made in Michigan Festival - Northville?

Has anyone ever been?  It sounds like it's fairly new in the advertisements I've heard, but I'm intrigued.

I'm just curious what kind of things they have there, if it's worth going for a few hours this weekend.  I love local/made in Michigan themes abd items.  I think we have so many great local resources.

 Thanks!

  • It sounds cool!  Is it just this weekend?  I'm out of town, so I'll have to miss it, but maybe they'll bring it back next year!

  • I'm really thinking I need to go just out of shear curiosity now!  even if it's not that great, dowtown Northville can still be fun!

Yeah - it's just this weekend from what I understand, but according to the advertisement I heard this is the 3rd annual one, so I'd assume the chances for it next year are pretty good.

The hours they gave in the radio ad was 10-9 today and tomorrow and 12-5 on Sunday.

  • I've never heard of this but I may check it out on my lunch hour today!

LoL... I would agree.  There's not too much that isn't more fun than doing laundry IMO though.

  • Ok, so we went to this and it was just ok.  The best thing I came across was a girl from Indigo Salon in Canton giving 50% off coupons.  I wasn't super impressed with everything else.  It seemed like it was mostly soap, candles, or the stores in Northville that just set up tables outside their storefronts.  I did get a slushee that was very good though.

  • I appreciate the eyewitness report.  As much as I wanted to check it out, I knew I might be too tempted to spend money and figured I better stay away.

I'm interested in hearing more about your slushee however.  What flavor? Was it everything you hoped it would be? Now I'm craving one.

I don't think you would be tempted to spend much.  I even had cash on me for once, but there was nothing that caught my eye, except the slushee.  And it was excellent...watermelon!  Though my pregnant self managed to somehow spill some on my shirt and my feet.  On to shirt #2 of the day before I teach piano lessons tonight lol.
