Official Intro

Hi Boston area Ladies,

I have now posted a few times and I am really enjoying this board. I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Anne and my husband and I just moved back to the area after 4 years in Syracuse, NY. We are thrilled to be away from the crazy winters and back in the town where we met and fell in love.

We got married on June 5th of this year in Philadelphia where my mom lives. Here is a link to our photographer's blog post from our wedding.

My husband is doing his residency here and I am home by myself a lot so I lurk around these boards.

Re: Official Intro

  • Welcome, and we're glad to have you!

I love your wedding photos, they are beautiful!!

  • Yes, welcome and congrats!

I thought our winter was pretty crazy, but I am originally from FL.

  • Welcome to the area and to the board!  I love your bouquet and your dress was lovely.  It looked like a great wedding.

Are you job hunting or enjoying being a lady of leisure?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I love the books! And your shoes. And, well, everything! It looks like a great wedding.

    Welcome to the board!

  • Thanks ladies!

I have job starting at the end of the month so I am a bit leisurely at the moment. I hate it. I am at my best when I am busy. I also run my own very small business and that is slowly but surely getting off the ground here.

What kind of work do you do?  What's your side business?

Yes, I'm nosy :)  Feel free to answer or ignore as you like!

I will be working for an after-school program with 4th and 5th graders and I run an early childhood creative music and movement program.

I really love both! I am hoping my music program will turn into something much bigger.

    I don't mind nosy :)

Oh you and Ginger should have some stuff to talk about then. He's a music teacher to kids (not quite the same as what you're describing, I know, and I can't remember what age) and also does all kinds of interesting arts stuff like the Boston Ballet class he mentioned.

I did not realize that Ginger was a male. That one went completely over my head!
