TR: nose bleeds?

So, William seems to get a lot of nose bleeds.  He had one today after I laid him down for nap, and it took a few minutes to get it stopped.  I'd get it if he had one after one of his graceful falls or something, but these are just random.  Ideas?  He gets them about once every two weeks or so, no pattern or rhyme or reason.

Re: TR: nose bleeds?

  • Could his sinuses/nose just be too dry? Maybe try a vaporizer or see if he can do a nosespray?

  • Considering how humid it's been, I might be concerned. If he were a nose picker that would be one thing but I believe he's avoided that habit.  lol!

  • I was just thinking...could you get his blood tested to make sure that its clotting okay?  My best friend had a period of time where she was Vitamin K deficient and always got nose bleeds for no reason.

He's managed to avoid picking in public.  But he's a closet nose picker.  I know some of them happen at naptime for that reaston-he's bored and the finger fits there.  Ick.  At least I'm pretty sure as his fingers are usually covered in blood, like a pointer.  :)

But still.  I might see what the pediatrician has to say.  can't hurt to ask.
