I barely got in the door tonight and E told me he wants to quit his job. He had his quarterly review today and was told because of the security breach in late February that he was inadvertently a part( a door in the building didn't close properly and someone got in and they tagged E as the last one to use the door before this happened) of he can have no raises or promotions for 5 years. He's mad and overwhelmed. He's meeting with two schools next week to see about degrees and using his GI bill ect but I'm afraid that if he doesn't work we won't be able to afford our home and things like that. I got him calmed down enough not to quit until he finds something else.
If we could have some thoughts and prayers that he is able to keep his frustration under control until he gets a new job I would apperaicte it. Also if you could pray for me as I apply for a job with the county I would be so grateful. If I get the county job he could quit and it not be a problem at all. Thanks so much ladies.
Re: Can E get some thoughts and prayers please
You have a PM.
Back at ya :-)
Back to you!
T&P for you guys!
I agree that 5 years does seem really harsh. I dont know the situation at all, but it seems like maybe they are trying to push him out?
I changed my name
A HUGE security breach occured because he didn't close the door all the way like he thought he had. He was marked as a security risk and in doing that they can't give him raises. E says they would have fired him then but chose to keep these "punishments" instead. He's trained and a hard worker so why get rid of him just never allow him to move anywhere. It really stinks.
However his attitude at the moment is pretty good. He called 2 schools on his own and has meetings with advisors the beginning of next week. And has applied to 9 different jobs in his field since he got home. I'm really happy that he finally has a fire under his butt to get him moving and trying to find a new job. I guess its a blessing in disguise because he has been unhappy there for some time and talked about looking for a new job but hadn't yet so now he has too.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers ladies. Its helping my nerves so much.
You have another one. Thank you!
