I have three girlfriends that I consider myself to be equally close to. The one I've known the longest I met as a sophomore in HS.
She and I have had a friendship that's always picked up where it left off. Even with her going to college in WI and spending over a year abroad. She's also one of those unforgettable people that everyone loves. Every person I've introduced her to has told me after that fact that they just thought the world of her. She is just all around awesome.
After she came back from abroad, she noticed a lump in her breast. She was told for almost 2 years that it was nothing because of her age. About a month or two before she graduated college, she had a biopsy and was diagnosed with breast cancer at 22.
She came through her lumpectomy, chemo, and radiation with flying colors and healthier than ever. A couple months ago, she mentioned to me that she was having coordiation issues and her legs and feet felt numb at times.
She had an MRI Friday. She has a tumor on her spine.
They wanted her to start radiation today, but she's holding off until more testing can be done. It could be benign, but it's still not a good condition.
Seriously, why does this sh!t happen to the best people? I mean, diease and cancer sucks no matter who it happens to, but someone so amazing...It just sucks.
I told her I'd be there for everything. I held her hand through chemo the first time and I'll do it again...I told her if she needs blood, body parts, platelets, I'll be first in line. I know DH will too.
Any extra vibes, thoughts, or prayers for her would be appreciated. Thanks for letting me get this out.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
OMG! That really sucks. It does seem that the worst things happen to the best people. My best friend growing up had cancer and she is by far the best, brightest, happiest person I have ever met.

I'm so sorry for you and your friend. She doesn't deserve this just like a lot of people don't deserve their good health.
