I'm new to posting on this board. So far I have lurked around and found some interesting methods to try. Hopefully someone has advice for me.
Let me begin by saying I hate cleaning, but hate a dirty house!
Does anyone know how to easily get rid of that dirt/dusty stuff that collects on bathroom countertops/toilet tops/bathtub dirt. I normally try to use Clorox Wipes or a wet paper towels. This seems to spread the stuff around until I "play" with it enough to send it down the sink.
Also, does anyone know how to easily remove soap scum from shower curtains or shower doors. Today I wiped down my shower doors and used 2 types of glass cleaners on it. The second type is sorta like rain-x-- hoping this prevents more build-up. But its still there ![]()
Thanks for your input!

Re: Bathroom Dirt/Grime
For the counter tops and toilet areas I usually just spray some scrubbing bubbles foam and wipe with a paper towel, but I do it probably close to once a week, just to keep up with it, otherwise it gets nasty! but the scrubbing bubbles makes it quick and easy. As far as the shower door goes I have tried just about everything but the best cleaner I have found is Mr Clean magic eraser. As far as a shower curtain goes, you have got me!
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies. The shower curtain is not that old-and its not that dirty but I wanted to prevent it from getting that way. We don't use that bathroom unless we have company that uses that bathroom.
I'm going to try that Scrubbing Bubbles and see if that helps! The magic eraser didn't help too much for my shower doors.
Thanks,
Ginger
I try to wipe down all of the surfaces in the bathroom with a Clorox wipe daily. If for whatever reason more than a couple of days pass without cleaning and dust has collected I will spray with an all purpose cleaner and wipe with a paper towel because it is drier and won't just spread the dirt around.
I don't have a shower door so I can't help you there. As for the shower curtain I spray the inside of my shower and curtain with Method Daily shower cleaner. It really keeps it clean and smelling fresh. I'm sure that this would also work on your shower door.
