First does any one have any negatives to their bedding and curtain quality? I'm leaning upwards them for nursery bedding. Lastly, does anyone have any coupons they'd be willing to share?
Re: Pottery barn kids
i don't have any coupons or codes, but I do have a few of their items. I bought a sheet set, quilt/comforter, sham and valences for Ava's big girl room. And a lampshade that still needs a base. The quality is excellent and I love it. I bought a crib sheet to match Samantha's decor too. Again, very nice quality and beautiful design.
That said, I would not spend the money on baby stuff there, since you really use it a short time. A $30 crib sheet didn't bother me since we didn't have to buy her furniture or a lot for her - her entire nursery decor/room consisted of a new sheet, a $100 carpet remnant made into a rug, $40 decals for the walls, $15 stuffed owl from Target, a clearance $18 set of 3 canvases from HomeGoods, I think the solid colored hamper was $20 from BRU, $7 on an extra solid white crib sheet on Amazon, and a $3.99 bucket to hold toys from Xmas Tree Shoppes. It was fairly inexpensive, so I felt OK spending more than necessary on a sheet.
I think spending the $ in Ava's room was worthwhile because she'll have it for years.
If you are goingt o spend the money at PBK, I say choose the items carefully that are really used/shown, and supplement with items from other stores. You will often find coordinating pieces at Target, Homegoods, etc. - like Sam's stuff is owls and birdies - it's everywhere.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
I bought my DD's nursery bedding there as well as a valance and it is all awesome and great quality. I was looking for a baby animal type theme (I got PBK's Jungle Friends) b/c we didn't know what we were having. I got lucky and the set was on sale!!!!! I didn't get the matching rug though...just the crib sheet, bumper, crib skirt and valance.
I also have two sets of the velour sheets for her crib that my SIL bought for my shower...they are amazing.
I think the stuff is great quality and lasts...those velour sheets have not lost their softness. But again, I bought the crib stuff on sale...I don't know if I would have got it full price but i LOVE it!
Kate - If you register at PBK you get 10% off of everything left on your registry for six months after the event date. I'm not due until Thanksgiving time as well, but what i did when I registered last weekend was set the event date for August 1st, and now I can get 10% off of anything I put on the registry. All I'm interested in buying from there is a rug, and maybe sheets and window treatments. I'm not using it as the registry that my friends and family will use to buy me gifts. I mostly just registered so that I could get a discount on the few things that I want to buy myself.
If you haven't already, check out the book Baby Bargains. They rate the quality of various company's sheets, as well as all other baby products.
Good luck!

I don't think its a lot. I agree with Melanie.. get main pieces and supplement cheaper.
I have a 15% off coupon for PBK but waiting til she is born for a blanket with name and date on it just incase she comes earlier. I signed up online and they mailed me one for PBK and regular PB.
