Did you get involved in planning your own shower?
I know for some, like myself, its been over 5 years but I don't remember having any involvement in my bridal shower at all. I knew the date because I had to request it off but that's it. The reason I ask is because my younger sister, who's single, is basically taking orders from her friend on "how to plan" her own shower. Its next week and so far her friend has made a list of games to play, told them what the centerpieces and favors will look like, helped make her own invites, and today they are all assembling favors together (bride to be included.) I keep telling my sister this is nuts, not what normally happens at all! And I was told only 10 out of 80 people responded so her friend will have to call them all this weekend. And say what? Are you coming to my shower next week? I can't wait until this shower and wedding is over for my sister's sake, this girl is driving her insane!
Re: Did you get involved in planning your own shower?
I had nothing to do with my bridal shower - it was a surprise. I knew when both my baby showers would be, but wasn't involved with anything else with it.
Your sister's friend is a nut.
I had some free time this afternoon and stopped by to help the girls (they were literally down the street from me) and yup, the bride was assembling her own favors! I asked my sister later about the guest situation and she said they're up to 60 people now, the bride called them all that morning! Ahh, I can't take it! And to top it off, this girl is already married. They got married at city hall last spring so she could be on her husband's health insurance when she was laid off from her job. I kinda found out by accident by anyway....Craziness!
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
