I am going to hurt somebody or put a hole in my wall.
Well, not really. But I am about to flip out on the next person who looks at me the wrong way.
My email was hacked sometime on Wednesday. But this was more than a hacking, they deleted my contacts, my entire inbox, and now, I'm not receiving any email. I'm losing it. I have to be able to access my email for a project I'm working on, and AOL won't help me because I'm not the main person on the account. I'm flipping out. I emailed AOL for help and they sent me a phone number, kept me on hold for 40 minutes and then refused to help me.
F*ck it.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

Re: I am going to hurt somebody or put a hole in my wall.
Oh my goodness!! Firstly, change your password immediately. Second, if I were you, I'd open a new E-mail account with a different provider (I'm a HUGE fan of gmail) and have your AOL E-mail forwarded to the new address. If you go with Gmail, they automatically offer the option, and the hacker (if still able to access your AOL mail) wouldn't be able to see that you're still receiving the E-mails at another address as well.
I hope this helps you a little bit...I can't imagine what a hassel this is and how frustrated you are! It's super uncool of AOL to be such jerks about it too. I hope things get better soon!!
Thanks. It took five calls to AOL and two by my stepmother, but we've finally gotten everything resolved and restored. Such a stressful process - I'm waiting for my back to unclench!
I just don't understand people who intentionally f*ck with others. There's just no point!

That stinks!
Someone I worked with once had her e-mail hacked every day for a week. Turns out they gave her exact account to someone else with the same name. Her e-mails were deleted & some data was deleted (which they were able to recover, since it was at work). It didn't matter that she already had that account for a year, they let the new person keep my friend's e-mail account and my friend had to get a new one (b/c my friend was still a student and the other was a pharmacy resident or something!)
