Grrr...contractor vent

I really shouldn't be complaining about this but hear me out. I called yesterday asking when they would be here to install the siding. I was told Saturday morning. Ok, peachy.

I walked in twenty minutes ago from lunch and notice when I go to pull in that my yard looks like a war zone-saw horses everywhere, siding as far as the eye can see. Now...I should be excited that they are doing it a day earlier. But...here's my issue, THEY NEVER CALLED TO TELL ME. Which means-guess what, I left everything on the walls today. 

They told me to have everything off the walls for Saturday because they'll be hammering/drilling/whatever on one side of the house and it will knock of frames/shelves/etc. Okay. I was going to remove everything tonight. Only they came today!

4 broke picture frames later...my living room looks like Reggie went apesh*t or something. Picture frames everywhere (We have a photo wall above our couch), candle holders by the front door, shelves on the couch instead of on the walls. I'M SO PISSSSED.

I hope this guy doesn't come back before I go back to work. He'll get an earful because he was the one that TOLD me he would be here tomorrow.

  • I would be pissed too. It is great that they came early, but they should have better customer service and be accurate with their timing. I would be livid about the broken stuff!

  • Let's add in this:

    I picked up 50 nails in our yard. And they spilt a pop or something on our siding in the front. And left 5 cig butts. I'M IRATE. AND they left the old siding. And all of their trash-pop bottles, etc.

    I did call and complain. I'm getting a discount. And they're on their way to pick it up now.

  • Wow, I would definitely have complained also. That is awful customer service. I'm glad you are getting a discount, that is not acceptable.
