Museum District Nesties

Have y'all heard of some of the neighborhood developments over the next couple of years?  A developer purchased the house on Caroline next to the Asia House, and they are going to turn it into a restaurant.  You can read more about it here: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/balcor-commercial-leases-museum-district-property-to-new-restaurant-2011-08-04

The same developer is also putting up a mixed use building on Binz at Chenevert.  http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/24676-parc-binz-one-1800-binz-at-chenevert/

Neither one is particularly breaking news, but I thought I would share in case you missed it.  I like to see some restaurants moving into the area.

  • Me=even more jealous.  To live there is enviable.  To be able to walk to a restaurant like the midtowners can is just ... well I'd say not fair but that isn't the right descriptor.  Just makes me even greener.

  • Not just any restaurant, a Randy Rucker restaurant.  I am THRILLED.
