We have had two indoor cats for 7 years and never have had fleas...I just noticed one on the female cat!  I ran out to the store to get the frontline stuff to put on both of them.  How long does it take?  I only saw that one flea but it was a good size so I know there will be more.  There is no way she will let me give her a bath.

    Oh no :(  Call your vet. We thought our dog had fleas last year, and boy was it an ordeal.  We had to put Frontline on him, and also give him something else - I think it was a pill which was supposed to kill the fleas on him or that came in contact with his skin.  We had to sequester him while we cleaned the ENTIRE house.  Sheets washed in hot water; steam clean the carpets; mop with hot water.  It sucked.  Then he went to the groomer a week later for a nice bath.  Good luck!

    We found fleas on our indoor cat.  It turned out she got them in our new house either from the bulkhead or the basement carpet.  We had to do a flea bomb and give her Advantage (just like Frontline).  Hopefully you caught it early.

    Definitely call the vet to get that pill (forget what it's called!) to kill the fleas.

    Also, I would use diatomaceous earth in your house to kill what's there.  It's nontoxic to people/pets so I've used it instead of bombing.

    It's the worst - good luck!

    jill, were are you finding DE now a days? DH tried lowes and a few others but no luck....

     Also, if you have the ablity to: crank your AC and that will help eliminate the inside fleas. they can't survive in the cold/no humidity air.

    I don't have any advice (guess that is a good thing that i don't knwo abot this, right?).  But I had to say that this is always my biggest fear when I go to teh vet- leaving with fleas on our indoor cats.  I hope everything is all set by now.
