I am going to a baby shower and she is having a girl. I looked on etsy because i wanted to get her something cute and unique as one of the gifts. I came across letter hairbow holders which were so cute, but were pricey...and then I thought....hey i could make that! I bought the letter, sand paper, mod podge, scrapbook paper, ribbons and attempted my 1st craft (in years)
it turned out okay...not as cute as the ones on etsy
Would you give someone your first crafty attempt at a gift??

This!

I refer to the flaws as proof that it was handmade.
That said I've been known to redo a project. I would need a picture of your project to determine! I'm sure you are just being overcritical of your work
I recently gave a rag quilt that I was less than pleased with as a baby shower gift. I contemplated not giving it to her, but she is a very close friend and I knew she'd love it regardless. Had the recipient been something i'm not very close with and/or someone who doesn't appreciate a homemade gift, I wouldn't have given it.
on another note: i'd love to see a picture. I recently started a bow holder myself.
