Baby Shower Help Please :)

Alright my creative loves, I'm heading home to PA on Tuesday and my mom is throwing me a baby shower next Sunday...yay! Everything so far is pretty much taken care of, but we don't have favors yet. Mom and I are going to to out and get everything to do them next Friday, but we have no idea what to do yet!

I really want to do a favor that's super cute and unique...and something people won't throw out on their way out the door! Any suggestions???

  • My friend found little "rubber ducky" bath bombs somewhere...   they were for her sister's shower.  She also had votive holders with blue stones & real rubber duckies.
  • Probably not super unique, but you could always do a small bag of shower essentials. Shampoo, Conditioner, soaps, etc for people to use when they travel.

  • I went to a wedding shower 2 weeks ago, and the favors were bunnies (made from a dishcloth and a pot holder) holding a small jar candle and an angel (also made from a dishcloth and pot holder) holding a bottle of soap or lotion. I'm trying to find some pictures for you but my phone won't upload any to facebook right now  :( My mom's friend is going to be making them for my baby shower.... When it comes time.

  • Yea not super unique but for my wedding shower we did mini lotions and hand sanitizers - you could do the same for a baby shower.

You could also do muffin mix, packet of seeds Oo, or this Nest egg idea that you could totally recreate on your own.

  • Thanks for posting!  My mom and cousin and I are hosting a baby shower together in September and we hadn't even discussed favors!

  • OK what do you ladies think of these ideas?

    1) each guest gets mini cinnamin buns with a tag that says "Baby (last name)...A Little Bun in the Oven!"

    2) each guest gets a mini bottle of bubble bath and a baby rubber ducky

    3) Boo Boo Bunnies made from baby washcloths with some sort of tag and a cute saying

keep those ideas coming girlies! I'm loving them! And glad I could share the wealth with everyone else planning or having showers :)

  • If you do some sort of bath gift, you could use the saying, "We showered Val in pink and blue. Now here is a shower gift especially for you!". I used it for my best friend's baby shower years ago, and it was a big hit! I just printed the little poem in a cute font on some pretty scrapbook paper and tied them around the bottles of shower gel. Have fun at your shower!!!

  • my mom did cookies shaped like rattles and baby buggies
  • I like the cinnamon bun idea!

I'm always a fan of edible favors, most other stuff I do end up throwing away.  The last baby shower I went to they had cute chocolate molds on a stick, wrapped up and tied with a ribbon.  It was really cute!
