In Cobb, teachers go back tomorrow, but the kids don't go back until next Monday. I think Roswell/Fulton kids go back this Thursday.
You sound like my husband with the traffic comment. He is already plotting his 'alternative' route to work to avoid the buses.

When I was growing up, we didn't start until a week and a half before Labor Day and were out a week and a half before Memorial Day. It sounds crazy to me to think of kids going until what seems like the end of June. Where we live now, summer school just ended a few weeks ago!
I'm not a teacher but my craft time is going to stop in about 47 days when Miss. Peyton enters the world, but she will be well worth not having much craft time for a while
.
It does sound like school is starting earlier and earlier. The kids in my school district went back today and that sounds so early but I don't remember when they get out though.
Maybe you guys can get stuff done during breaks in school but I am sure that all you want to do is rest.
