Mama's boy complaining wife DD?

I guess she didn't want to hear she was wrong!

  • I didn't think my or Maybride's response was even all that harsh.

    What was I thinking? VENT

I would classify my relationship with MIL as neutral.  She called this morning because DH called his parents from work to report that we have some water seeping up through the basement floor for the first time.

MIL and DH have one of the worst mama's boy relationships I've ever seen.  Shame on me, I explained my theory that DH's extreme overwatering of the grass in our tiny yard may have something to do with a higher water table and blah blah...

I wasn't at all angry or accusing, yet mama came to the defense of her boy right away by saying noooo, that absolutely has nothing to do with it.  It's just the rain we're getting today.  Ok fine with me, but why is this the first time this has happened?  No answer.

Why do I have more conversation than necessary with this woman?  Don't bother to flame me.... I'm already mad at myself.

  • If you didn't want a m ama's boy you shouldnt have married one!

  • So all of this is over a patch of over watered grass?

Holy potatoes, as Michelle Flannery said.
  • It makes you wonder about the other side of the story when her first reaction is to blame her Dh for watering too much rather than being concerned about the cracks in their foundation and the improper drainage of their property.
  • Aww sorry I missed that one!
