Anyone have?

A link to Weight watchers friendly freezer meals or something more healthy? My DH can't really eat carbs but I am researching stuff to make and freeze for when the baby is here. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Re: Anyone have?

  • i feel dumb asking, but in the way of carbs, do you mean rice and pasta, or do you mean sugars in fruits and some starchy veggies? what are we avoiding?

i like to make extra chicken stir fry with tons of veggies - it freezes really well. but my homemade sauce does have some added sugar (about 1TB if I am rememberingc orrectly)...I could eat it over white or brown rice or over nothing. I've even made a moo shoo type meal of it on low carb tortillas when i was on WW.

(turkey or beef) meat sauce that can later be put over a microwaved potato

you could marinate raw fish and freeze it and then bake it later.

    beef stew freezes well.

veggie soup might be nice to have on hand for the fall, but i bet it'll stay pretty warm through most of october. i wore a t-shirt the last two years we went pumpkin picking.

  • He can have almost no pasta, rice or potatoes.  I try to not cook really starchy veggies. It's such a PIA.

  • so heavy on the proteins?

what do you usually cook? will any of that freeze well?

i think having frozen fish and chicken, already prepped, will be helpful. anyone can toss it on the grill or in a baking dish making dinner easy.

  • We typically eat chicken, turkey or pork with veggies.  I was just hoping that I could make some stuff that will let me not think about what is for dinner and making it for at least a few weeks.
