Those of you who have a weekly meal plan, where do you "write down" your plan? Is it on the computer, paper hung up on the fridge, just in your head?

I know everything is all digital these days, but I have never been good about making lists on the computer. I was thinking about getting a small white board to put on the side of the fridge to plan for the week, but I'm not sure yet. It got me wondering what you all do.

Re: s/o WFD

  • I hand write everything for the most part. I even go as far as writing it in my planner (what days we eat what).

ETA: I do it at the same time that I do my grocery list, just to make sure I get everything I need.

Some things I like spreadsheets to do, but others I prefer to handwrite.

  • I write it on a little list note-pad, or type it in excel then i make my grocery list from the menu, then keep the meal list on the fridge for the week. i'd like to get a cute decorative chalk board, but i have no kitchen wall space and most times i do my menu at work (in excel, on a notepad at home)

  • I painted part of my kitchen wall with chalk board paint that I use for a menu board. I keep my grocery list on my phone so I can add to it throughout the week.

  • I wrote it out on loose leaf paper and stuck it the fridge. I'm planning to get a dry erase board or something similar eventually.

  • I used to use a wipe board because I used it to keep track of Jonathan's nursing schedule as well (I learned with #1 that mommy-brain sucks), and that worked well. Since we moved here, though, the little cheapie I had broke, so I have yet to replace it. I now write it on note paper and put it on the fridge.

Either way, I have to have it on the fridge so I see it regularly. I have less of a tendency to forget to thaw meats, etc. that way. And I get less "what's for dinner tonight?" from DH!
