favorite story times

Hi there,

My BF just moved here from OR and she is interested to know what the popular/favorite story times are.  She is a SAHM too.  I told her about Fairytale in the Park but that's only during the summer.  I also mentioned Franklin Library (which day/time) and the Downtown DSM Library (Friday AM?).

Please share your favorite story time places, times, etc. so I can forward the info on to her.  I did tell her about the Singalong tomorrow at Smokey Row!

Thanks!!!

Re: favorite story times

  • Check DMPL's website because I know the storytime days and times are changing this fall. Neena and I will be at Franklin a lot!

  • I really like Clive library's story time, but that is really the only one I've been to so I can't really compare it to others!

Ditto. We have been to Waukee, WDM and Franklin and like Franklin the best. They are going to have more storytimes with more age-specific groups, though I think some of them will still be in the existing timeslots (Tues & Wed mornings).

  • We've done Waukee's younger story time, lots at WDM, and one at Clive and I honestly like WDM the best.  The only down side is you have to either go to the walk-in ones or sign up at the beginning of each month for what you want.  They do seem to have a good variety, though, which I really like.  I'd like to try out Waukee's preschool story time this fall as we haven't done that yet.
