On Roula and Ryan this morning they referred to some statement he made saying that without NSync he thinks his career would still be what it is today.
Now I didn't hear his comment so I don't know if the context was distorted in how they communicated it, but I was thinking - maybe not. He might never have been scouted because I thought he was an ugly, albeit talented kid. When he was with brit brit I thought it must totally be about personality.
As he got older I found him hot, but it's not his face. In fact I think he is the male equivalent of a butter face.
But he's funny as hell (best host of SNL IMO), extremely talented - I love him as an artist. Yet I sort of wonder if anyone would have given him a shot to shine like he has if it weren't for NSync.
What do you ladies think?
Re: Can we talk Justin Timberlake for a sec?
First, CCC is coming after you for calling her man a butter face.
Second, I agree on the butter face thing. He was pretty hot in Friends With Benefits.
JT is hellusexy but it's not his face. It's personality, talent, and in some cases body IMO.
CCC'swife and I have very similar taste in men. I'd never say Daniel Craig or Simon Baker have butter faces. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Those are in her top faves too. =D

I do think he is pretty funny. I'm not a huge fan of his solo music. And well butter face pretty much sums it up :-) I don't get the hotness?
That being said, I do think he would have been given a chance in the industry. His popularity came about when all of his other Mickey mouse co-stars were booming too. They were looking for anyone in that group with a sliver of talent to be the next big thing.
he was definitely an ugly duckling. i was too old when he was younger to ever find him attractive.
i think he's grown into his looks/hair though (omg please keep it super short, justin). he is HILARIOUS. i lov love love love love the spoof videos he does on SNL with andy whatshisface.
my photography blog
I too think he would have made it either way.
he is a very talented artist and performer. i like his music/voice. i also think he is a pretty good actor and loved his role in friends with benefits.
my ex met him at the superbowl in 2004 (he was part of mtv's crowd on the field) ex said he was really friend and down to earth.
Mine too. And it MIGHT even disappear into my husband's truck which I almost never drive or ride in... Might have...
I think I just didn't like him saying it outloud. Not very gracious and it reminded me of his character in the Social Network movie.

Agreed. To me it is rude to his former N'Sync members and discounts the work they did together.
I LOVE this man and think he's super hot and talented. Sure, he might've made it without NSYNC (I agree with the Mickey Mouse Club cohort point above) but it's really douchey that he would say something to that effect. I mean, let's break it down here...
JC...failed pop solo career.
Lance...brief hub-ub about him when he came out & released his book but nothing since.
Chris...ended up on a VH-1 reality show about 5 old guys who used to be in boy bands and were then trying to form their own man band...
Joey...maybe he's been on Broadway or something? I know he has continued acting and was in My Big Fat Greek Wedding and he hosted some sing along show but nothing to the success of JT...
Don't denounce your roots, dude. Some things can go without saying.
