  • I'm pretty sure mine is a Kitchen Aid brand, purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond. It works great!

  • I think mine might be Sunbeam (as in, the people who make the electric blankets). Really, just go to a home store and buy one that's a reputable brand.

And please don't be scared of making frosting. It's super easy. I know that my buttercream just involves mixing butter and powdered sugar together and then adding milk. I've actually made it with just a whisk before. There is no need to be intimidated by homemade cake or frosting - putting the frosting on the cake is actually the most difficult part!

  • Mine's a Kitchenaide. I love it. I used to have a Cuisinart and I loved that too.

I think mine might be an el cheapo Hamilton Beach.

That's what mine is! I don't know why I was thinking it was made by the same people who make electric blankets. Maybe it's 'cause I really want an electric blanket.

  • KitchenAid is a good brand.  Mine's survived my kitchen foibles.

  • Mine is Kitchenaid.  It's awesome!  I just wish it matched my Kitchenaid stand mixer.  Boo.

  • I've had nearly every brand out there, and they all work fine. ?I don't think I've ever had one break on me, not even the one I had in college which was a boyfriend's grandmother's from the 60s. ?It even had faux wood panelling on its storage box.

Really, you can't go wrong. ?Since it doesn't seem like you have much need for one, go cheap. ?Hold a few if you can and see if ones more comfortable.?

My mom's KA stand mixer is over 30 years old and still works like new. She wants to get a new one because hers is "Harvest Gold" color (yay for the 70s) but she says she just can't justify buying a new one when her old one works so well.?
