honeybaked ham vs. bbq catering

opinions please! we are having 60 for the little man's christening party this weekend and we still haven't chosen a caterer. ugh. we can do honeybaked ham or bbq for the same price. honeybaked ham comes with- ham, turkey, potato salad, macaroni salad, some other side, bread/rolls, and cookies bbq- will be 2 meats, 2 sides, and rolls. we already ordered our cake and 2 trays of mac and cheese from one of our favorite spots. the main difference is that the honeybaked ham is cold (we could heat it, i guess) and the bbq is hot. the party is 1-4p on saturday afternoon if that makes the decision any easier.

Re: honeybaked ham vs. bbq catering

  • Do whatever is easiest. If you have to cook or even heat it, it's too much work in my book.

hell no. dealing with family is stressful enough

  • Go with the BBQ so you don't have to do anything.

For all my other parties, I would always do all the food myself and I was wiped out before the party even started. FOr Bella's christening I had it catered and it was the best decision I ever made. I didn't have to do a thing and got to enjoy the day.
