If you've been to Australia...
How many days would you have to have in Sydney? We're going to visit friends in Perth next summer. I feel like we're making the trip over so we have to stop over in Sydney for at least a few days. Would 3 days be enough? It would probably be on the end of the trip so no recovering jetlag would be invovled.
and internationally there are no lap babies right, no matter what age?
Re: If you've been to Australia...
I didn't go to Sydney so I'm no help there, but you're going to love Perth.
Eat at the Pickled Fig while in Perth, it was my favorite restaurant there. And Rottnest Island was really cool. I can't remember the name of the Koala petting zoo we went to, but it was really neat. I got to hold a Koala & then we got to pet & feed a lot of kangaroos & wallabees.
My sister traveled internationally with my niece as a lap baby last year, so I think it is allowed. And I know I've seen it.
We were there for 2 days also and it was nice enough. We certainly did not do as many touristy things as we could have. I think 3 days would be good. The harbor tour was nice, though.
As for lap babies, Gideon ended up being one, only because that was the only way he would sleep. It was extremely frustrating. One of our other seatmates also had a lap baby, but her baby was awesome and slept like a champ in the bulkhead bassinet.
I went to Sydney and Cairns (Great Barrier Reef). I think we spent about 4 days at each place. You can make it a long or as short as you want. Go through your travel guide and pick out the main places you want to see, and plan your days acoordingly. In Sydney, we did:
I'm sure we did more, but that's all I can think of right now. You can do a lot of those things in 1 day b/c they are pretty close together, and depending on where you stay, could be within walking distance.
nope, I wish. We're planning the trip for July and I'm about to start serious fertility meds. I'm no longer playing the plan around an future pregnancy game, but if we did have a baby before July I wondered if it would me smarter to travel pregnant (earlier) or just take a tiny one on the trip. We're not buying tickets till January, I'm just working on budgeting for it now!
