Using Dress for Blanket...
Okay, so the nestie who just did this with her BM dress, got me thinking. I have a dress that was my Trash the Dress dess, it's a very simple satin gown that has been sitting in my dry cleaning pile since my wedding (May 2010 
). And I happen to have some minky at home too. So I figure... blanket, pillow..something. Also I bought the dress from a fellow nestie who is preggo, and I'd love to "gift" her a piece of it.
So... anything special I should know. I don't have any fancy feet on my machine, or any crazy skills. Can I do this?

I'm afraid of binding... I haven't done it since um, middle school. And that was almost 20 years ago.
I think maybe I'll try a little pillow and see how that goes!
