What does thrush look like if I had it not Mason?

Thrush has always just been really red, inflamed skin right around the nip. It has always hurt WAY worse than its looked. Feels like pins and needles.
Grapefruit seed extract and Gentian (spelling?) violet have always been the solution for me. The nystatin cream the dr. prescribed never worked for me.
my supply dropped a little with af's return, but just keeping at it kept the supply up.
When I had thrush my nipples were really, really red and sore.
And yes, it would drop off a lot...I remember having to dip into my freezer stash during those times because I wouldn't get enough to cover all of his feedings.
Agree with pp, my nipples hurt much worse than they looked. DS just looked like he had milky tongue.
My midwife called in Diflucan for me without even needing to be seen. DS was treated with gentian violet.
