Denver Hotel Suggestions?

DH and I are doing a last minute trip to Denver next weekend (with the LO in tow) and need a hotel downtownish. We aren't planning on renting a car (that may change) and we will only be there for 3 nights, with DH working in their Denver office a bit, so ideally somewhere I can get out with A and walk to things to do.

Suggestions?

Honestly, I have no clue-I have never been to Denver,

    Let me ask my cousin who lives in downtown Denver (near the Botanic Gardens) and I'll let you know!

    I always get on Hotwire for my downtown hotels. The last few times I've gotten the Hyatt. I'd just about bet that the first one it's bringing up for $84 is the Hyatt (four star). It sits right off of 16th St., which is great to walk around. It also sits right off of the lightrail, so you can hop on that if you want to go out of the area.

    If you want a boutique hotel, The Brown Palace and Curtis are both beautiful.

    This would be my suggestion. MH's company hosted a conference here last year and it was pretty great for a chain. Ask for a high floor with a west-facing room so you can see the mountains!

    We were just in Denver earlier this summer and stayed at the Embassy Suites downtown. It's very close to16th Street and we were able to walk to restaurants/bars, Coors Field, and the Denver Art Museum. Not sure on the price since we used Hilton points, but it was definetely one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.

    Ok, recommendations are back!  The top ones from my cousin and friend are Hotel Monaco and the Curtis Hotel.  Denver is so great, hope you have a fun time!

    marriott residence inn. best place ever! Good breakfast, happy hour which is more like a dinner during the week. 17th and champa, walk right to the downtown. where buses run up and down the 16th street mall. We stay there every year.  And if you have LO with you the room will be nice as the bedroom is seperate plus their is a kitchen, etc. in each one.

    There are a ton of Hyatt hotels in the Denver area.

    Hotel Monaco! I never stay in a hotel when I go to Denver (my parents live there) but my BFF does "staycations" and stays there.
