f/u tenant issues

I called a lawyer and he had a lot to say until I started asking specific detail questions and then he said he wouldn't answer those unless I hired him. Which is understandable, it is his job after all. So then I did some reading on the relevant FL Statutes and wrote up a Notice to Vacate. That was sent certified mail Saturday morning, along with an email explaining what was coming.

I did give her one extra week, but not the whole month she said she was taking. She called me after getting my email and was all sugary sweet telling me the compromises she planned to make this work. I'm sorry but that time has passed. Maybe you should've asked your landlord (me) to negotiate in the first place, but you certainly are not entitled to more time.

In the end, she agreed to the date I sent in the letter, but she wants to work with the new tenants to stay a few extra days just in case she can't get out by then. Right, that's not going to happen.

I wrote several more paragraphs of general complaining, but deleted them cause there's no point in venting any more. I'll update later if any more drama comes up :)
