Brenham area

Any suggestions on places to hit up/ see/ do in the vicinity? My Mom is coming down the end of September (9/24-10/4) and the one day I have a few things in the Brenham area planned, but the main one no longer exists. I need to come up with at least another option. We've done the wine thing last time. This time we're hitting up Blue Bell and the 50's burger place at the airport since DS loves planes. I was going to do the Miniature horses at the Monastery, but that was sold off in May. Any other suggestions? It would be for 10/1 or 10/2.

Thanks!

Re: Brenham area

  • You could stop in Chappel Hill or go over to Round Top for the antiques.  Although if that is the big antique weekend in RT, I'd probably skip it with a kid in tow.  Way too crowded.

If you're up to a drive, you could do Washington on the Brazos or the Antique Rose Emporium.  There are also some antique shops around there and some historical sites.

I've lived close to Brenham my entire life and didn't do squat unless it was a school trip...

  • Martha's Bloomers is always a hit.  I make a stop there with my dad when we are in Navasota.

Antique Rose Emporium is really nice as well.
