Ok, so we've decided to have the party at our house. What (if any) types of food did you have? I've been to some parties that have little sandwiches, chips/dip, crackers/chees, fruit, etc. I've been to parties that just have cake and ice cream. I'd like to do a little more than cake and ice cream though. Any thought are very much welcome!!!
I have pigs in a blanket on my list. That's it.
Oh and beverages...I've been to parties that there is adult beverages for the adults and juice/water for the youngins. HELP! TIA!
Re: Another b-day question
It depends on what time you are having the party. We had M's last party around 3 in the afternoon so we had some snacking stuff like a fruit tray, cheese and meat with crackers tray, chips and dips, and drinks to go along with cake.
We usually just do juice or water for the kids and tea, soda, or water for the adults.
I love love love love tea sandwiches. Cucumber sandwiches are the best - yum!
I also love little sandwiches that are unusual looking - meaning, use a cookie cutter to cut the bread in the shape of a flower. Use a really fluffy bread rather than wonder bread. Cut the meat and cheese the same way and leave them open faced - so fun!
The party will most likely be from 2-4. I'm pretty sure I want to do snacks.
I was totally thinking about doing little sandwiches and doing them in fun shapes. We were thinking about a football theme, since it will be football season, so I need to find some sport cookie cutters if at all possible. It's 2 months away, but I like to plan ahead and at least have a general idea of what I'm doing.
