Balance bike or training wheels?
We're thinking of getting Brogan a "real" bike for his 3rd birthday. I am torn on if I should get him a balance bike or one with training wheels? I love the idea of the balance bike, but everyone in the neighborhood has training wheels and I wonder if he'll be sad he is missing out on pedaling? What do you think?
Re: Balance bike or training wheels?
The Nest hates me today:
I don't know what a balance bike is. So I'd go regular bike w/ training wheels.
I think if the other kids have a regular bike, he might feel left out. I
I am pro balance bike. The whole point of the balance bike is to eliminate ever needing training wheels, and eventually getting to a regular bike sooner. I think ulimately balance is a harder skill to master than pedaling.
