how to not be shy??

my man wants me to dance for him but i am too shy. he has seen me dance a million times when we go out but he wants me to dance for him at home an i am too shy. i can dance when we are out bc no one is lookin at me but im too scared to dance for only him bc he will be watching my every move and judging me. he said he wont laugh or think im stupid or compare me to his ex's but i dont believe him bc he has told me about how his ex danced an he makes fun of her but he said he was happy she did it. he says this is a dealbreaker. we have been together for a year an 4 months an one time i did dance for him but he doesnt even remember

i want to dance for him but i dont have the confidence. it makes me feel stupid he doesnt understand. i can dance but i just dance in the club or when he is at work an im alone or dancin around with my daughter. im not a showgirl so i dont feel comfortable just getting in front of him randomly and starting to dance i would feel silly
Anniversary

  • I have some ideas --- have you ever seen the musical Gypsy?

Have a look a t that movie and look at the Gypsy Rose Lee stripper scenes towards the end of the musical.:) Maybe you can try something like that.

The "strip scenes" are pretty puritanical by today's standards but back in the day, this was hot and racy.:)

Another suggestion: videotape yourself dancing -- and then let him have the tape for his viewing pleasure.:)

  • Take a class!  There are tons of studios these days where you can take classes in pole dancing, burlesque, lap dancing, whatever.  I should know--I teach at one!  Wink  They'll teach you how to be comfortable moving your body and how to move to the music, and I've found that it's a huge boost in self-confidence.  Whether it's a 2-hour workshop or a 10-week class, it's a lot of fun, and you'll learn something new.

Alternatively, you can find videos on how to dance or how to give a striptease on Amazon.  Just check out the ratings to be sure you get a good one!

Pole dance classes and burlesque classes also burn a ton of calories.

I also think you'd like belly dance lessons. Fun, seductive and a great way to burn calories.

Tons of places have them -- YMCAs, gyms, rec centers, adult school classes and the like.

  • I thought you said he wanted to go to clubs and dance with other women??

im starting to see a definite troll pattern...

  • I dated this girl a few times but it didn't work out between us.  But, on our second date, we were on the roof on my aprt bldg and she said she likes to belly dance.  I looked at her and said, ok, can you dance for me?  She stood and started dancing right away.    I could never dance for anyone, I just am a terrible dancer and would feel silly.  I know how you must feel.  However, she did it and I liked watching her.

The only advise I can give is to rent a moving such as porn or something in the 18 and over section that has strippers or pole dancing in the themes.  Watch them and learn.  You can also find lots of dancing and different types on youtube.   Watch them in the privacy of your home and try to repeat what you see.

If all else fails, try lots of wine!!  With enough wine, you will forget your insecurities!!

I'll try anything once. Yes, anything, well almost!! :)

Yes! Take a class! It will get you out of your shell, you'll be burning calories, and he'll love the outcome!
