NCV2 and Snippy
Snippy - I just replied to your Dubai post this morning...
NCV2 - Americans need visas for Egypt, although I was able to get mine at the border (we were coming on boat from Aqaba, Jordan). I'd probably check the consular information sheet though - things may have changed since the revolution.

Wedding stuff.
NCV2, when I went to Egypt I just bought the Visa at the Cairo airport. The booth is right nest to the money exchange.
All the sites told me I had to purchase it before I got on the plane. The Egyptian Embassy in DC told me to buy in on the plane. Airline staff told me to buy it at the airport. But as Jetur said, things may have changed.
