Can I have some vibes?

The state inspector is coming this morning at 9am to inspect for termites, and DH wasn't able to get the day off. He said he's going to try to at least get here and go back to work, but he has a difficult boss who likes to question every move he makes, so can I just have some vibes he'll make it, and that the inspector will give us some direction on our next steps?

  • He made it!

Backstory: in doing some shopping around for renewing our termite bond and adding pest control, some termite damage was found in two places. Given that we just got a completely clean WDO report and this is a VA loan (i.e. wouldn't have closed at even the mention of termites), we were having a state inspector come and open a case against the inspector.

Results: he said he's fairly certain it's old damage and there's likely no activity behind it, but suggested getting Terminix to come check out the damage and try to get them to honor the bond terms. He took pictures and notes, and is going to do some research on the inspector. As it is, the company that he was working under at the time is now under suspension, so he's got to find out when that happened. Also, he said the damage should definitely have been found, and if Terminix refuses to honor the bond, we can make a claim against the inspector's bond. I forwarded him our inspection report, as well as information from the closing that he needed, and he'll let us know what happens.
