Baby gift- wdyt?

Im thinking about ordering this for one of DH's friends who had a baby girl this past weekend.  This will be their last child (they have a little girl and boy already).  I could get a onesie for the first month and iron on the one month, then she would have to do the rest, since you never know how fast babies will grow.

The mom loves crafts, and they have a nanny so she is able to have her time to do them.

Is this a good or bad idea?

For other baby gifts for them in the past, I got them a baby gap gc, and for their older daughter I made her a tutu and made lil sis and big bro shirts.

Any other suggestions....

  • I love the stickers and it is a cute gift. I got some you stick on.

  • i think that's a cute idea- something everyone seems to be doing nowadays!! i like heather's idea of stick-ons vs iron ons that way they can wear the onesie more often
  • I made my own when I did them for DD, and will for DD#2. I got the printable fabic paper at Michaels, that way I could just stick on the number and peel it off after I was done. It was in the section with all of the iron on stuff (shirts, transfers, etc) I think it was about 10 bucks for the pack of paper and I needed just over 1 pack of the sheets.

  • I like the idea of maybe getting them ready for her and then all she has to do it stick them on the onesie of her choice.

Is there a tutorial anywhere to do this that you know of?

And, since you have done this before which way do you think is best- the stickers versus the iron ons?

    Thanks Mel!
