Fair

When is everyone going to the fair?  We haven't been in years and obviously not with a toddler.  Is there a day, or time of day, that is slowest?  This great weather will be sure to bring a large crowd.

Re: Fair

  • Since DSM schools start next week, during the day would be best.
  • During the day on a weekday is best. The earlier you get there the better though and that goes for any day.

    I totally agree.

If this weather continues, I think they'll have good crowds all day, every day! We have no plans to go (I grew up here, kind of fair'ed out) but just might reconsider now.

  • We are going on Thursday afternoon and evening and Wednesday evening of next week. We always go in the evenings, but we don't mind the fair crowd. There's plenty of random spots that have space. It might be a little bit crazier with a 19 month old this year, but I'm willing to take the challenge :-)

  • Not a huge Fair person but DH wants to go.  So, IF we go, it will pry be after 5:00pm during the week,  I think that you can get in cheaper later in the day....
  • We are going to go early on Sunday morning. We won't stay past lunch, so hopefully the crowds won't be too bad.

  • I got notice through work that volunteers were needed for the dog show on the 21st. For 7 hours of work, H and I get free parking, free admission, and food vouchers. I hate dogs, but I want to see Lee Brice and the rest of the fair and it just wasn't in the budget otherwise.

Normally, we go whatever day we both have off and spend all day there (9 or 10 am until after the concert).
