So glad I called the dr's office! I have an appointment with the nurse this Thursday! Then she sets up an appointment for my labs etc. So glad that that is only a few days away.. I would be dying of impatience otherwise lol

Re: Dr. appointment
Yeah! We had to watch a video and then we met with a nurse practitioner and she weighed me, checked my bp, and discussed a few things with us like what to eat, vitamins, etc. It made it a little more real. Good luck and keep us posted!
If you want you could tell them you don't know when you got pregnant and you can't remember your past period and they might do an early ultrasound to date you.

They don't know that...
I never temped and had a decent idea of my last period, but told them I wasn't sure. I got to have an u/s at 6 weeks to confirm a due date. I think my doc would do it anyway and just say it is to confirm a due date, but it was fun to get one so early!
LoL.. you ladies make me want to do that! I just might!

I was going to, but I didn't have the balls. You definitely should though! I will next time!
I wouldn't get your hopes up for an ultrasound... you are still really early and may not be able to get a measurement. Then you are stressing yourself out for no reason... which isn't good for you or the baby!
The reason they like you to go around 8 weeks is sometimes thats the earliest they can "see" anything. I haven't heard of anyone getting an ultrasound before 6-7 weeks.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
I didn't mean that she would get an u/s at her appointment this week. I just meant that they might schedule one before the half way point to date the pregnancy.
thinking about it, the receptionist did say something about booking an ultrasound as well on Thursday. So we shall see.

My first one was 6w5d. We saw both babies and heartbeats. I wont say how many other ultrasounds I got after that..
I was charting and knew exactly when I got pregnant, but I just said that I had recently come off birth control (which was true) and I wasn't entirely positive because my cycles started quite long and had been getting progressively shorter. I got to go for a "dating" ultrasound at 12 weeks! They don't really do the 12 week testing here unless there is a "reason", so I say go ahead a fib. It's not hurting anyone!
I had my first appointment at about 6 weeks and they literally did nothing. No blood work, nothing. Just answered some of my questions and told me to take a prenatal which I already was.
I had around 15 u/s....
