One more check in -for lurkers and newbs.
Come out and tell us a lil about yourselves. We won't bite. Probably.
Re: One more check in -for lurkers and newbs.
Hello Ladies!
My husband and I have been together for 8 years, and met the month I turned 21 and he had just turned 20. We just got married over Mothers Day weekend. It was a perfect day, and like everyone warns you, it was over before we knew it. Prior to my wedding, I stalked The Knot for some photo inspiration, but I never really posted on the boards. Lately, I've been known to lurk on the Philly board & What's Cooking.
I am a bit of a book nerd. Currently reading 'Catching Fire', the 2nd 'Hunger Games' book. I read anything & everything....even if I hate it. If I start a book, I must finish it (which is why I avoid books of the Nora Roberts / Danielle Steel variety). I am always open to recomendations, so fire away!
I am a beer snob, and have a special place in my heart for Belgian beers. I also like red wines, particulary pinot noir, and Champagne. Oh, and gin! .... Needless to say, my husband and I are childless! No baby plans for another 3 or 4 years?
I love, love, love to cook. At the moment, I'm into home made pastas and breads. It should probably be noted that I hate baking (probably because i suck at it). I just signed up for a few cooking classes at the Viking cooking school in Bryn Mawr. If I like them, then I will sign up for one of their baking classes.
And I like to knit. At the moment, I am a master scarf maker. I'm hoping to expand my skills this winter because frankly, I don't like wearing scarves.
Hi everyone,
Today seems like the day to do it! I usually lurk on this and sometimes the Philly Baby board. I was born and raised in Philly but recently moved to Jenkintown after selling our house in Port Richmond. I married my husband in 2004. I have a son who is almost one. He's pretty awesome.
I just left teaching in Philly for many reasons... mainly to be closer to home however. I'm not sure that I would consider myself a "stay at home" mom. I think thats it!
I've posted before but it has been awhile! I have been really caught up in school and haven't been around much lately.
We just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. We moved to the Philly area for me to go to med school. We live in Warminster and like the area. DH works for the airlines, we love to travel and travel regularly! We don't have any kids yet, but we do have 2 dogs who are spoiled & loved to death!
