Crafty Ladies: Recommend your inexpensive sewing machine
Hi Ladies,
Does anyone have an inexpensive sewing machine that they would recommend? I would love to try and start making some things for DD. I used to sew on my mom's machine when I was younger but haven't done it in years. I don't want to invest too much b/c who knows if I will have time and energy to keep up with it.
Thanks in advance!

I have saved a rec of this one:

That was quite a long time ago, though - maybe something is better, now.
I have a Brother too and think you can't go wrong for the price range and as a starter machine. I want the new computerized version.
I also have a fancy schmancy serger that I inherited but don't use it nearly as much as the other.
I bought a Singer Promise sewing machine at Target for $76 last year when, like you, I wanted to try getting into sewing without much of an investment in case I didn't stick with it. I actually sew pretty frequently now and this machine has given me zero problems.
