Gah! So close and yet so far.
So, you guys know how I've been excited this whole intern season that no one at work has asked me if I'm the new summer intern?
A candidate just asked me if I was an intern! WTF! How did I make it all of June and July without anyone asking me, and there's just a few weeks left before the interns go back to school and someone asks?
I don't want to look like an intern any more.

I'm sorry! People think I'm as young as 14. Yeah I know I will look awesome when I'm older, but right now it sucks. How about you just don't say anything, it gets old.

It was my 8th year of teaching (so I was 29) before I made it through a session of Parent/Teacher conferences without at least one parent telling me they thought I was a student. (I taught high school.)
It's one thing to look younger than I am. But I don't want to look that young.

last summer (i was 24 or 25), i got my id checked to buy a camping knife. apparently you have to be 16 to buy a knife. it wasn't even a *real* knife. it was a "swiss army style" fork/spoon/knife set.
