Hi Ladies,
I am driving out there next week and spending about 10 days with my IL's, without my hubby. We aren't exactly close, so I would love to escape their house for a few hours at least a few times.
Any suggestions of places I should check out? If it helps I will be staying in Grapevine, but I'm willing to drive up to an hour just to get out for a while!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help, please
Grapevine Mills Mall would be a great place to spend some time. If you like outlet shopping and you're willing to drive I'd suggest going to the one in Allen. It has better shops.
There are great little restaurants on Main Street in Grapevine. There's this one place called Backyard Burger (I think) and they have live music on the weekends and the food is decent.
There's also the indoor aquarium in Dallas along with the Kennedy museum in downtown too.
I'm sure there's loads more, but that's all I can think of.
The Gaylord is out that way.
JFK muesum is in Dallas too
I promise I don't mean to sound mean saying this.. Have you tried using Google and typing in "Attractions in Dallas" or even grapevine? I use it when I go out of town sometimes to just see what's around there.

Thank you ladies.
DFWIndian - I didn't take it mean. I have googled stuff, I guess I was just hoping for some idea's that weren't tourist-y! I have been to Grapevine before, so I have been to Grapevine Mills, Gaylord (I'm trying to get a job there), the Stockyards, Southlake Town Square.
I just know it's a huge area, and was curious what resident's find to be cool places to go.

If you like to paint (or would like to paint- you don't have to be an artist to go), there is Painting with a Twist-they have a location in Grapevine. There is also a create your own pottery place but the info is at home.
Guidelive.com would have info on everything going on.
I love Southlake Town Center!!!! It's got lots of fun stuff, some national chains and some local stuff. There are some good restaurants and my favorite movie theater is there. However, there's lots of other little shopping strips in Southlake too.
You could probably get to NorthPark in 45 minutes from Grapevine. It's a very nice mall and you should definitely be able to make it to the Galleria, which is another very nice mall.
